The Zimbabwe Republic Police is calling on residents in the Great Dyke to beef up security, always lock doors at homes and business premises as cases of unlawful entry are on a marked increase.

Speaking on the Great Dyke News and Current Affairs programme Crime watch on YaFm, Zvishavane ZRP’s Assistant Inspector Respect Manyuchi said it is important to perform all security checks before leaving the premises and before retiring for the night.

The Police have recently reported a spike in housebreaking and robbery incidents as some are turning to crime because of the Covid-19 induced economic woes.
